One of the many benefits for a sponsored child is the purchase of government medical insurance. But there’s a strange requirement that we must work within.
The Rwandan government requires the entire family purchase medical insurance in order for any individual’s coverage to be in effect.
The cost is only $4 per person for an entire year.
Yet, for many of the families we work with, that amount is unattainable. Would you help us meet a goal of $2,600 to help provide medical insurance to under-funded families?
Next year, we intend to cover these medical insurance costs within our sponsorship program budget, but this year we have a gap to bridge.
