There were times when I cringed at having to write another email about the continued burden we faced at Hope for Children Ministries.
It was nine months ago that the Rwandan government mandated a significant salary increase for teachers. We agree that teachers should be valued and paid well for their devotion to our kids, we just weren’t prepared for the unexpected and immediate increase.
I’m grateful to report that God provided for the nine months of funds we needed to cover the wage increase through friends like you! And I learned a valuable lesson—He wants me to ask so He can continue to work through His people.
Together, we thank God and celebrate overcoming this major hurdle, but there’s no time to ease up on the gas pedal. The school year has started and there’s more work to be done—to further build out a kitchen to provide nourishing meals to the kids, purchase school supplies and shoes for those who can’t buy their own, add a dormitory for the homeless children that continue to show up at our door, and so much more.
So here I am, asking again, to please remember Hope for Children Ministries and Hope for Children International School in your giving plans. Help us finish the year strong by signing up to give monthly, increase your monthly giving, or give a generous one-time gift. Knowing we can count on your monthly gift of support will help us budget for the coming year.
We’re growing stronger together as God unites us to sponsor these kids and provide a Jesus-focused education at our school—truly giving them a shot at a better life for them and their families.
Whether you give to the ministry or decide to sponsor a child, or both, thank you for your generosity and being Jesus to these kids.
None of this would be possible without you.
God bless,
