Family Details Said is loving boy who loves to hug and lives with his mom and five siblings. His dad was a survivor of the 1994 genocide and was blessed to start a family with Said's mom, who is also a survivor of genocide, but his dad became sick as a result of the trauma he experienced in genocide. Said's father died in 2001 leaving his mom alone to care for the family. She works hard, but still struggles to provide even basic needs such as food, clothes, school fees, and health insurance for Said and his family.
